Frank Brown holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees from Ithaca College. He earned an Ed.D. from the University of Illinois. His fifty year career includes positions as band director and instrumental music educator at all levels in the public schools of New York State and Florida. Other teaching experiences include positions at Elmira College, Tallahassee Community College, and the Florida State University School. Dr. Brown has performed in symphony orchestras, concert and jazz bands in noted venues such as Tanglewood and Krannert Center. Most recently he performed with soprano Dawn Upshaw at Carnegie Hall and may be heard on the TELARC CD "Across Your Dreams" featuring Frederica von Stade. |
